Virgin Voyages Ships Guide: All Four Ladies Compared
Virgin Voyages is an adults-only (18+) cruise line with four near-identical ships: Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady. Each carries around 2,770 guests. There are no buffets, no kids and no main dining room. Instead you get 20+ restaurants with no cover charge, plus included group fitness classes and basic Wi-Fi.
What's changed is the fare. Since 7 October 2025, Virgin sells three fare tiers (Base, Essential and Premium) and charges gratuities separately, so "tips included" no longer applies to new bookings.

Valiant Lady joined the fleet in 2022. Her main job now is short Caribbean and Mexico sailings from PortMiami, which makes her the obvious choice for a first Virgin cruise or a long weekend away. She also adds a few Northeast sailings in autumn 2026.
Resilient Lady entered service in 2023. She's best known for 7-night Greek Isles and Adriatic sailings from Athens (Piraeus), including overnights in places such as Mykonos and Croatia. In winter she moves to the Caribbean. Her summer 2027 schedule adds new 7 to 14-night Italy and Mediterranean itineraries, including a total eclipse sailing.
Brilliant Lady debuted in New York in September 2025 as Virgin's fourth ship. She is the only Lady able to use the Panama Canal. In spring 2026 she made Virgin's first Panama Canal transit, from Miami to Los Angeles. She now sails the West Coast from Los Angeles and Seattle, and she ran Virgin's first-ever Alaska season in summer 2026.
Scarlet Lady was Virgin's first ship. She was delivered in 2020, but because of the pandemic her first sailings didn't start until August 2021, out of Portsmouth. Her Caribbean sailings run from Miami, and her European seasons from Athens and Barcelona. For summer 2027 she's doing 7 to 11-night Greek Isles, Turkey and Albania itineraries from Athens.
