Where Does Symphony of the Seas Sail in 2026–27?

May 2026 – summer 2027: Galveston, Texas. Symphony's first-ever Texas season. Western Caribbean round trips of 6, 7 and 8 nights, typically calling at Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatán, with some 8-night sailings adding Perfect Day CocoCay.

From August 2027: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida. Royal Caribbean switched her 2027 plans in April 2026 – instead of staying in Galveston, she moves to South Florida for 6- and 8-night Caribbean cruises. Guests booked from Galveston on later dates were offered alternative sailings.

Who replaces her in Texas? Liberty of the Seas (4- and 5-night cruises from October 2026) and Icon of the Seas (7-night cruises from August 2027).

Are tips included on Symphony of the Seas?

Is the drinks package worth it on Symphony?
Royal Caribbean's Deluxe Beverage Package covers cocktails, beer, wine, speciality coffee and soft drinks. Prices vary by sailing and are usually cheapest when bought in advance, so check your cruise planner for sales. It generally pays off if you'll have six or more alcoholic drinks a day; if not, pay as you go. Everyone in the cabin who's 21+ normally has to buy it if one person does.
Is Symphony of the Seas Family-Friendly or Adults Only?
Symphony is a family ship – she was built for multi-generational holidays, with kids' clubs, slides, the Boardwalk carousel and the two-deck Ultimate Family Suite. Adults still get plenty of quiet space: the Solarium pool is adults only, and Central Park is calm and leafy.
What Makes Symphony of the Seas Different?
Seven neighbourhoods
Symphony is split into seven themed areas: Central Park (over 20,000 real plants, upscale dining), the Boardwalk (carousel, Playmakers, AquaTheater), the Royal Promenade (shops, bars, parades), Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality Spa and Fitness, Entertainment Place (theatre, comedy, jazz, casino) and the Youth Zone.
Flight: Dare to Dream – Symphony's own show
This Royal Caribbean original tells the story of flight in reverse, from a future trip to Mars back to the Wright brothers at Kitty Hawk, complete with a full-size replica plane flying over the audience. It was created for Symphony and isn't staged on other ships.
Ultimate Abyss and the thrill line-up
The Ultimate Abyss is a ten-deck dry slide that drops riders from the pool deck down to the Boardwalk. Add twin FlowRider surf simulators, The Perfect Storm water slides, a zip line nine decks above the Boardwalk, laser tag and an escape room.
Ultimate Family Suite
Symphony introduced the two-level Ultimate Family Suite – complete with an in-suite slide, games room and private balcony with a hot tub. It sleeps up to eight and books up early.

Our tip: Boardwalk balconies at the aft end can see the AquaTheater shows but expect noise from the Boardwalk until late. Central Park balconies are quieter but look inward, not out to sea.

Reserve HiRO on day one. Free, but seats go in the app before you board.

Arrive 20–30 minutes early for a central seat; the top rows give the best view of the dives.

Bring a layer – it's open-air and can be breezy after dark.
