The 2026 Royal Amplified Makeover: What's New?
Originally planned for 2021 but delayed, the Liberty of the Seas finally received her massive "Royal Amplified" transformation in April and May of 2026. As a royal caribbean cruise ship, she kept the spacious Freedom-class feel that longtime guests appreciate while being updated through the amplification process. This multi-million-dollar upgrade brought the ship in line with the newest vessels in the fleet, adding some of Royal Caribbean's most popular modern venues along with all-new adventures and new thrills. The program was designed to preserve the original Freedom-class character even as it modernized the ship. It also brought newer Royal Caribbean experiences and family attractions to an existing vessel.
1. A Reimagined, Caribbean-Style Pool Deck
The pool deck on Decks 11 and 12 received a massive overhaul. The traditional pool bars were replaced by The Lime & Coconut, a multi-level signature venue serving up tropical cocktails amid vibrant island aesthetics.
