The 2025 Royal Amplification: What’s New?

Originally scheduled for 2020 but delayed due to the pandemic, the long-awaited $100+ million refurbishment of Allure of the Seas was officially completed in April 2025, with Allure OTS finally emerging from its modernization work that had been pushed back for years. This massive upgrade brought the ship in line with its newer Oasis-class sisters, adding next-level thrills, modernized relaxation spaces, and interactive experiences such as the royal escape room and a laser tag experience. The refresh also helped it better complement each sister ship in the Oasis class.

Key additions from the 2025 amplification include:

  • The Ultimate Abyss: A jaw-dropping, 10-story dry slide that plunges guests from the sports deck down to the Boardwalk, standing 150 ft tall and stretching 216 ft long.

  • The Perfect Storm: A thrilling trio of multi-story waterslides (Cyclone, Typhoon, and Supercell) that twist above Central Park.

  • Resort-Style Pool Deck: The top deck was completely transformed to feature a Caribbean resort vibe, highlighted by The Lime & Coconut signature bar, a tiki bar feel, shaded casitas, and newly designed loungers, with the adults-only Solarium and full-service spa nearby for adult relaxation. Guest services also helps passengers navigate these new onboard offerings after amplification.

  • Social298: A brand-new, dedicated 360-degree hangout space for teens featuring gaming consoles, music, and a private outdoor patio.

  • Ultimate Panoramic Suites: Located right above the ship's bridge, these new staterooms offer sweeping 200-degree floor-to-ceiling ocean views.
