Disney Wish Cruise Ship
Disney Wish Cruise Ship

All eight ships, every homeport, the new ports added, and the one ship missing from the announcement.

Disney Cruise Line has now set out where its whole sailing fleet will be based for fall 2027 and spring 2028. The Wish goes to New York, the Destiny to Port Canaveral for the first time, the Magic to Galveston by way of the Panama Canal, and the Wonder stays in San Diego. Castaway Club early booking opens today, 31 August. Everyone else books from 8 September.

So the short version. This is a bigger reshuffle than it first looks, because most of the coverage led with New York and stopped there. Three of the four Wish-class ships end up at Port Canaveral at the same time, the Fantasy gets a Bermuda run it has never done, and the Adventure finally stops sailing in circles. And the Believe, the ship people are actually asking about, is not in this announcement at all.

Key facts

  • Booking opens: today, 31 August 2026, for selected Castaway Club members. General booking 8 September 2026.

  • Headline change: the Disney Wish returns to New York for the first time since 2023, with seven sailings of four to seven nights.

  • New ports: Fuerte Amador (Panama City) and Colón in Panama, both maiden calls on Disney Magic Panama Canal crossings. Langkawi, Malaysia joins Disney Adventure sailings from 31 December 2026.

  • First-time homeport: Disney Destiny at Port Canaveral from fall 2027.

  • Not included: the Disney Believe, which has no announced deployment in this release.

Where is each Disney ship sailing from in fall 2027?

This is the bit worth bookmarking. Eight ships, and they move around more than people expect.

Ship

Homeport

What it's sailing

Disney Wish

New York, then San Juan, then Port Canaveral

Arrives New York late September 2027 after its first Europe season. Seven sailings of four to seven nights to Bermuda, New England and Canada. Then San Juan, then three and four night Bahamian runs from Port Canaveral.

Disney Fantasy

Port Canaveral, then Fort Lauderdale, plus San Juan

Four and five night Bahamas and Western Caribbean from September to November 2027, then four to seven night sailings from Fort Lauderdale. Also Southern and Eastern Caribbean from San Juan.

Disney Magic

San Diego, then Galveston

Opens in California on three to seven night Baja and Mexican Riviera sailings, crosses the Panama Canal, then spends the season on four to seven night cruises from Galveston.

Disney Wonder

San Diego

Stays put all season. Three to seven night cruises calling at Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Catalina Island.

Disney Destiny

Fort Lauderdale, then Port Canaveral

Opens in Fort Lauderdale on three to five night Bahamas and Western Caribbean, then becomes the first Destiny season homeported at Port Canaveral.

Disney Treasure

Port Canaveral

Continues seven night Eastern and Western Caribbean, plus one eight night Eastern Caribbean and one six night Bahamian sailing.

Disney Dream

Port Canaveral, then Fort Lauderdale

Three and four night Bahamian sailings, repositioning to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027 for three to five night runs.

Disney Adventure

Singapore

New three and four night itineraries from September to December 2027.

Disney Believe

Not announced

Absent from this release.

Notice what happens at Port Canaveral. The Wish, the Treasure and the Destiny all end up based there in the same season, which puts three Wish-class ships in one port at once for the first time. If you have been waiting to sail a newer Disney ship without flying to a less convenient homeport, this is the season that gets easiest.

What's genuinely new, and what's just a return?

Worth separating these, because Disney's announcement blends them.

Genuinely new. The Destiny homeporting at Port Canaveral. The Fantasy sailing to Bermuda from Fort Lauderdale for the first time, on an eight night cruise that also visits both of Disney's private island destinations. The two Panama maiden calls, Fuerte Amador on the eastbound crossing and Colón on the westbound. And Langkawi in Malaysia, which joins selected Disney Adventure sailings from 31 December 2026, meaning that one is only months away rather than a year and a half.

A return, not a debut. New York. Disney sailed from there until 2023 and is going back, which is a real change but not new ground. Same with New England and Canada, back after nearly four years.

The Adventure change deserves more attention than it got. That ship has been running cruises to nowhere out of Singapore, sailing out and coming back without calling anywhere. Adding Langkawi turns it into an actual itinerary. If you were dismissive of the Adventure for that reason, it is a different proposition now.

What does this mean if you're booking?

A few practical things.

Today matters more than 8 September. Castaway Club early access exists because the good cabins on the limited sailings go first, and the New York season is only seven departures. If you want a Bermuda sailing with the extra day in port, of which there are three, that is a small pool of inventory against a large audience. Waiting a week is a real risk on those specific voyages.

The New York sailings are the ones under pressure. Disney has not sailed from there in four years, the Northeast is a huge catchment, and seven voyages is not many. Everything else in this announcement has more capacity behind it.

Halloween and Christmas sailings need planning. Halloween on the High Seas starts in September 2027 and Very Merrytime returns in November and December 2027. These sell at a premium and go early every year.

Disney has not published fares yet. Nothing in the announcement covers pricing, so anyone quoting you 2027-28 Disney prices right now is estimating.

If you want the detail on the New York return specifically, including why Disney left in the first place, that is covered in our earlier piece on Disney's New York return.

So where is the Disney Believe sailing?

Disney has not said, and that is the honest answer.

The Believe is due to enter service in late 2027, which puts it squarely inside the window this announcement covers. It is not in the release. Every other ship in the fleet has a homeport and an itinerary range. The Believe has neither.

There is a reasonable reading, which is that Disney is holding a separate announcement for it, the way it usually does for a new ship. There is no confirmed deployment, and anyone telling you the Believe is definitely going to Fort Lauderdale is guessing rather than reporting. We covered what has actually been confirmed about the Believe when the design was revealed.

Frequently asked questions

When can I book Disney Cruise Line's 2027-28 itineraries?

Selected Castaway Club members can book from today, 31 August 2026. General booking opens on 8 September 2026 at disneycruise.com or through a travel agent. The tiered structure means higher Castaway Club levels get access first.

Where will the Disney Wish sail from in 2027?

New York, from late September 2027, after finishing its first European season. It will run seven sailings of four to seven nights to Bermuda, New England and Canada, then reposition to San Juan and finish at Port Canaveral on three and four night Bahamian cruises.

Is Disney Cruise Line returning to New York? Yes. The Disney Wish will sail from New York in fall 2027, the first Disney sailings from the city since 2023. Five of the seven voyages go to Bermuda, three of those with an extra day in port, and the rest sail to New England and Canada's Atlantic coast.

Where will the Disney Believe sail from?

Disney has not announced it. The Believe was left out of the fall 2027 and spring 2028 release despite being due to enter service in late 2027, which suggests a separate announcement is coming. Any specific homeport claim you see right now is speculation.

Which Disney ships sail from Port Canaveral in 2027?

The Wish, the Treasure and the Destiny, plus the Dream and the Fantasy for part of the season. It is the first time three Wish-class ships are based there simultaneously.

What new ports has Disney Cruise Line added?

Three. Fuerte Amador near Panama City and Colón in Panama, both maiden calls on Disney Magic Panama Canal crossings, and Langkawi in Malaysia, which joins selected Disney Adventure sailings from Singapore starting 31 December 2026.

How much do Disney's 2027-28 cruises cost?

Disney has not released fares. Pricing normally appears when booking opens, so the Castaway Club window today is the first point at which real prices will be visible.

Is the Disney Adventure still doing cruises to nowhere?

Not entirely. Langkawi becomes a genuine port of call on selected sailings from 31 December 2026 through May 2027, and the ship gets new three and four night itineraries from Singapore between September and December 2027.

So the takeaway. If New York is what you want, book today rather than next week, because seven sailings against four years of pent-up demand is not a lot of ship. If you are more flexible, the Port Canaveral concentration in 2027 is quietly the better news, because three modern ships in one convenient port means real choice on dates and cabins.

And if you are holding out for the Believe, keep holding. Disney knows exactly where that ship is going and has decided not to tell us yet.

Which of these are you booking? Drop a comment with the ship and the port, and I'll tell you honestly whether it is worth the early access scramble.
