MSC World Europa is MSC Cruises' first World Class ship: a 215,000 tonne, LNG-powered giant carrying up to 6,762 guests, with an open-air aft promenade and an 11-deck dry slide. She sails 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises in summer and heads to the Caribbean for the first time in winter 2026–27.
We spent seven nights on MSC World Europa in 2026, embarking in Barcelona and staying in balcony cabin 12182. Everything below mixes what we saw on board with MSC's latest deployment and pricing updates.

Where Does MSC World Europa Sail in 2026–27?

Summer 2026 (to autumn): 7-night Western Mediterranean loops. You can board at several ports, including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina and Valletta. Typical calls also include Taormina (Giardini Naxos).

Winter 2026–27 (approx. November to April): Her first-ever Caribbean season. MSC moved her here from the Middle East in March 2026. She sails 7- and 14-night cruises from Fort-de-France (Martinique), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) and Bridgetown (Barbados). Ports include St Lucia, Grenada, St Maarten, Antigua, St Kitts, Dominica and St Vincent.

Summer 2027: Back to the Western Mediterranean.

Winter 2027–28: MSC had planned a return to the Middle East, but in August 2026 it switched her to stay in the Western Med instead, again with multiple embarkation ports.
She spent her inaugural 2022–23 season in the Arabian Gulf and has mostly been based in the Mediterranean since.

Are tips included on MSC World Europa?
No. MSC adds a daily hotel service charge to your onboard account. Rates depend on the region you're sailing:

Mediterranean: €12 per adult per night (€16 in Yacht Club). Children 2–12 pay €6 (€8 Yacht Club). Under-2s are free.

Caribbean (from May 2026): $17 per person per night ($23 in Yacht Club).
Prepaying before a rate rise usually locks in the old price. Drinks packages already include the service charge on drinks.
Is the drinks package worth it?
MSC has trimmed its packages. Easy (house drinks) is still sold in Europe, Premium Extra covers drinks up to about €14/£14/$16 and is the only alcoholic package for US bookings. Easy Plus was withdrawn from 1 August 2025. If you'll want cocktails in the Gin Project or a pint in Masters of the Sea, Premium Extra is the one to price up.
Is MSC World Europa Family Friendly or Adults Only?
She's very much a family ship. The kids' area is the largest in the MSC fleet, with seven age-grouped rooms designed with LEGO and Chicco, plus the Aurora Borealis Aquapark, bumper cars and a roller disco. Adults get a quiet escape at the aft Zen pools, which are adults only.
What Makes MSC World Europa Different?
The World Promenade
The back of the ship splits into a Y shape, opening up a 104-metre outdoor promenade lined with bars, restaurants and Promenade View cabins. Inside, the World Galleria runs under a huge LED dome that changes all day.
The Venom Drop @ The Spiral
A stainless-steel dry slide twisting down 11 decks at the end of the promenade. MSC bills it as the longest dry slide at sea. Rides are quick – go early or late to avoid the queue.
LNG power
World Europa was MSC's first ship powered by liquefied natural gas, which cuts local air pollutants compared with traditional marine fuel.
Smart lifts
There are no buttons inside the lifts. You pick your deck on the screen in the lobby and it tells you which lettered lift to take. Walk into the wrong one and you'll end up on the wrong deck.

The MSC White Party
The White Party is MSC's big themed night, held on the World Promenade with music, dancing and lights under the open sky.
What to wear: All white linen shirts, white dresses, white trainers. Pack it before you go; buying white clothes on board is expensive.
