Entertainment & Onboard Activities

Days at sea on the Eurodam are as relaxing or as active as you want them to be. When the sun goes down, the ship comes alive with Holland America’s famous Music Walk.

  • The World Stage: Spanning three decks, this theater features a 270-degree LED screen that surrounds the audience, creating a truly immersive backdrop for live music, dance, and comedy performances.

  • Billboard Onboard: Enjoy live musicians playing chart-topping hits in a lively, dueling-pianos atmosphere.

  • B.B. King’s Blues Club: Get ready to dance as an eight-piece band brings the soulful sounds of Memphis directly to the open ocean.

  • The Greenhouse Spa & Salon: Unwind in the thermal suite, take a dip in the therapeutic hydropool, or book a rejuvenating hot stone massage.

  • Explorations Central (EXC) & The Crow's Nest: Located at the very top of the ship, this lounge offers sweeping 180-degree views and serves as the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a sunset cocktail.

Insider Tips & Hidden Gems for the MS Eurodam

Want to cruise like a seasoned Holland America Line expert? Beyond the main attractions, the MS Eurodam holds a few well-kept secrets that can elevate your vacation from great to unforgettable. Here are our top insider hacks for sailing on the Eurodam:

1. The "Secret" Deck Behind Tamarind

If you are looking for a tranquil escape away from the busy Lido pool, head up to Deck 11. Just behind the Tamarind restaurant, there is a small, easily missed outdoor deck space that only fits a few lounge chairs. Most passengers never find it, making it the perfect private sanctuary for reading or watching the sunset.

2. Dining Hacks: The Main Dining Room vs. The Buffet

Don't feel like dressing up for formal night, but still want a gourmet meal? You are in luck. Many of the exact same dishes being served in the Main Dining Room (including the decadent desserts) are available at the casual Lido Market buffet on the same evening.

3. Tamarind Bar: The Best Views on the Ship

While everyone flocks to the Crow's Nest or the Ocean Bar for pre-dinner drinks, the bar adjacent to the Tamarind restaurant (formerly known as the Silk Den) is a true hidden gem. It offers incredible, panoramic ocean views, a remarkably quiet atmosphere early in the cruise, and unique Asian-inspired craft cocktails. Try the jalapeño martini!

4. Skip the Line at Dive-In

The gourmet burgers and fries at Dive-In are arguably the best complimentary poolside food at sea, which means the lunch line can get incredibly long. Insider Hack: Use the free Holland America Line Navigator App on your phone to order your food ahead of time. You can skip the line entirely and just walk up when your order is ready.

5. Complimentary Dining Room Room Service

Unlike many modern cruise lines that charge hefty fees for room service, much of Holland America's room service remains free. Even better, during dinner hours, you can actually order items straight from that evening's Main Dining Room menu to be delivered directly to your stateroom at no extra charge. It is the ultimate luxury for a cozy night in.

6. Book The Retreat Cabanas Immediately

If you want to feel like royalty, you can rent a private, tented cabana in The Retreat (Deck 11). They come with padded loungers, fresh fruit, chilled water, afternoon champagne, and dedicated attendants. Pro-Tip: Book these the moment you board the ship at the front desk, as they sell out fast. Request a cabana facing the Lido pool rather than the sides of the ship, as the side cabanas are blocked by plexiglass and don't get as much of the ocean breeze.

7. Strategic Specialty Dining Reservations

The Pinnacle Grill and Tamarind are incredibly popular, but seasoned cruisers know a booking secret: most passengers default to the Main Dining Room for the first 3 or 4 days of the cruise before getting restless. If you book your specialty dining reservations for the beginning of the cruise, you will have your pick of the best tables and times. (Ask for Table 17 in Tamarind—it's widely considered the best table for two!).
